  • Suits first timers

  • Everybody (usually) stands around and watches

Fight Shows:

  • Larger crowd of onlookers of up to 1000 people who pay to watch

  • Full Contact

  • Suits students who have had a few gym show fights.

  • Ringside seating and standing room outside this.

In short:

  1. You start training on weekends and your name is submitted for the next fight show.

  2. You are matched.

  3. You register yourself with the Combat Sports Commission by going here and filling in the relevant documentation for registration. Plus print off the forms for your GP to fill out and the documents for bloods.

  4. You do a physical with your GP one week before the fight show plus you do a blood test. This is then sent to Perth.

  5. You arrive in Perth the day before the fight and weigh in (usually at Kalamunda Kickboxing).
