Advanced Requirements.......

Warm Ups

You will start to work on how to formulate a warm up and instruct the students, in preparation for Level 4.

Back Up Rule

After you have assisted a student with a technique, go back and stand near them to ensure they understood your instructions and are doing the technique well........ it's also a good time to praise them for doing a good job!

S.O.D

When showing a student a technique, it helps if you speak....... Slowly, Over Emphasize and have good Diction.

Confidence

To be a leader it is always helpful to show confidence, eventhough you may be nervous on the inside.  Facing your fear, speaking clearly and being confident are great tools to help you in life.  Exercises and tasks that we will ask you to perform during classes will give you these tools.

Teaching

You will be asked to take a small group of students who are new and teach them our basic positions and stances....... sometimes it just may be a student who needs a little bit of extra help.

Appropriate Touch

You will learn when teaching a student techniques, the appropriate ways to hold them, touch their arms, shoulders etc., this is designed to help make students feel comfortable in class
